about

This tightly structured prayer-poem is traditionally ascribed to the tanna R' Nechunia ben Hakana. It holds many significances in mystical traditions.

Out of several great melodies for the poem, some of us like the more recent one by Ovadia Hamama, notably sung by Yossi Azoulay.

The Miami Boys Choir (which is directed by Begun) have the canonical recording. You can hear part of their lovely descants on this track because Zach Eilon is their studious devotee. We've deviated from their melody somewhat.
