about

These verses inspired a famous Israeli folk dance tune, which is one of the ways we sometimes sing them. In many services we rather use the Lewandowski melody on the next track. Perhaps our most wacky choice is the tune on this track. It's from 'Teva Medley' on the album 'Chalonot Ha'ir' by Pizmon, the Jewish a cappella group of Columbia University in New York, and we'd like to know who composed it. For the moment, we know this as "Zach's tune", because he is their studious devotee.

Disclaimer: the breast-beating was special for this recording and does not occur every time we sing this tune (which probably works best with musical instruments or at least a beatboxer).
